Practical rain plate pants/buddelhose from BMS to standard 100 by OekoTex-Category 1.
Good size regulation by length-adjustable rubber carriers and side press buttons that can be adjusted in the width. With reflector strips on the legs and rubber waistband with adjustable rubber jeg on the feet, which prevents the latex pants from slipping up.
The rain pants are smooth, soft and do not stick to the skin.
These BMS rain latex pants have a functional POLYURETHAN coating. The advantages over PVC are, among other things, that no dangerous plasticizers are used, that the material remains pleasantly soft even in the cold and that it gives you a higher comfort.
The materials used are, of course, free of AZO dyes, all closures, eyelets and other metal parts are nickel-free.
All seams are welded.

Do I only need the Buddel trousers / mud trousers when it rains?
No, they are not pure rain trousers, but "protective clothing". On the playgrounds, water games have become widespread. Whenever water is in play, a pair of bottled trousers can also be used sensibly. Wet children's clothing cools the body unnoticed - this is called chill factor or wind chill factor. The water in the clothing evaporates in the wind and thereby cools the clothing and the body of the child. Therefore it is always recommended to wear a waterproof protective layer when playing with water. Even in the early hours of the morning, when the grass and sand are still damp and cold, the use of bottled trousers makes sense. They also prevent the unnoticed cooling of the children. Who likes to sit in the wet or cold?
How to put on Buddel trousers properly?
Here the spirits divide. One fraction puts the pants into the rubber boots, the other pulls the pants over the boots. We at BMS recommend the variant with outside trousers. This has several advantages. Firstly, no water runs into the boots from above. It doesn't matter whether the water comes from the stream or the rain. Secondly, the heat does not accumulate in the rubber boots and the feet do not start to sweat. Thirdly, there are no pressure points on the calves and shins.
The waistband then belongs under the rubber boots. The BMS rubber boots made of natural rubber have an extra recess for the rubber band. This reduces the wear of the waistband.
What distinguishes BMS SoftSkin® from other materials?
BMS mud pants are made of SoftSkin® material. The material is developed by BMS, so BMS Buddel trousers are unique. SoftSkin® is particularly soft, does not crease and is particularly hard-wearing. The material is characterised by a double knitted carrier fabric. This makes it elastic and pleasantly soft on the skin. The outer PU coating (recommended by Greenpeace) is slightly breathable and 100% PFC-free. It goes without saying that the material meets the strict criteria of the 100 by Oekotex Category 1 standard.
Why is the bib cut so high?
Form follows function. What is a pair of mud pants worth if the child does not protect them properly when playing? As described above, the trousers are not only intended for use in the rain. Often, mud pants are worn without a jacket. The Buddel trousers are then simply pulled over the pullover or fleece jacket. Then the dungarees must be cut high to protect chest and stomach when playing with water. Imagine a child playing at a tap, fountain or a fully rained wheelbarrow. How quickly does the water run from the top into the trousers?
Why is PFC-free clothing so important?
PFC is the abbreviation for perfluorinated and polyfluorinated chemicals - also known as PFAS (perfluorinated and polyfluorinated alkyl substances) or PFT (perfluorinated surfactants). PFCs are used in many textiles because of their special properties - water-, fat- and dirt-repellent as well as chemically and thermally stable.
PFCs can already enter the environment during their production and during the manufacture of products containing PFCs. When these products are used and disposed of, they can also be released during their further life cycle. The use of fluorine-containing fire-fighting foams also leads to increased concentrations of PFC in the environment.
The perfluorinated chemicals cannot be decomposed in sewage treatment plants. Rather, additional perfluorinated chemicals are produced in sewage treatment plants through various conversion processes from the degradable precursor compounds (polyfluorinated chemicals). Water-soluble PFCs are distributed globally across rivers and oceans. These compounds are even found in remote areas such as the Arctic and its animals.
Humans mainly ingest PFC through food or contaminated drinking water. Increased concentrations of PFC in indoor air, for example from carpets with dirt-repellent equipment, also contribute to human exposure to PFC.
Cotton lining in rain trousers?
In general, rainwear should always be pulled to the left when it is dried. Unfortunately, this is only theory. Especially in the KiTa the clothes are hung in the same way as the children take them off. Cotton absorbs moisture and wetness and stores them. If the wet clothing is not completely dried, and links are also pulled out, germs and bacteria can settle in and develop. Mould spores also accumulate in damp cotton. We therefore recommend using the onion principle. Furthermore, the cotton lining offers no added value. BMS SoftSkin® has a very pleasant and soft inside, which can also be worn directly on the skin.
